Das 2019er High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) wird vom 9-18 Juli stattfinden, das High-Level Segment vom 16-18.07 (Di-Do).

III. ECOSOC President’s Summary und Gipfelerklärung im September
Beim HLPF unter dere Ägide des Wirtscchafts- und Sozialrats im Juli wird es in diesem Jahr keine Ministererklärung geben. Der ECOSOC Präsident wird eine Zusammenfassung schreiben mit Highlights der Sitzung. Eine politische Erklärung wird beim sog. SDG-Gipfel im September verabschiedet und bereits jetzt vorbereitet. Sie wird nach dem Gipfel der UN Generalversammlung vorgelegt.

V. Voluntary National Reviews (Freiwillige Staatenberichte, VNRs)
Im Zeitraum des High Level Segments werden die Staaten im Rahmen der sog. VNR über ihre Umsetzungsbemühungen in Sachen Agenda 2030 berichten. Es gibt (potentiell) die Möglichkeit, als Nicht-Regierungsvertreter/in Fragen zu diesen Berichten zu stellen, Kommentare abzugeben usw. Es empfiehlt sich aber, bei Interesse, mit einer der Major Groups in Kontakt zu treten, um eine Chance auf einen Redeplatz zu bekommen.

VNR Labs
The VNR Labs seek to respond to the strong demand from Member States, various institutions and major groups and other stakeholders to take stock of the experience thus far with the Voluntary National Reviews. Eight informal reflection sessions will be organized by Divisions of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs to provide an informal platform to engage countries conducting a VNR or having conducted one in the past, along with non-reporting countries, the UN System and other international organizations as well as major groups and other stakeholders. The Labs will allow participants to reflect jointly about how to further improve the VNR process at the HLPF.
